OYGEM Game Hackathon and Publish The Game Jam, organized for the second time by Digi Game Startup Studio together with Game Entrepreneurship and Software Center OYGEM, took place on April 22 – 24, 2022.
OYGEM Game Hackathon 2
About 75 developers participated in the OYGEM Game Hackathon, which was held for the second time this year. OYGEM Game Hackathon accepts participants regardless of age and experience.
In OYGEM Game Hackathon, where there was a prize pool of 10 thousand TL for the top 3 ranking teams, participants formed their teams and tried to develop their creative game ideas within a limited time based on the theme given to them.
The teams presented their games to the juries and the top three teams were awarded a total of 10 thousand TL.
Publish The Game Jam 2
PTGJ 2 took place in Game Entrepreneurship and Software Center and hosted 8 teams consisting of a total of 25 participants from different provinces of Turkey. The teams developed games suitable for the theme within 48 hours. They included symbols and landmarks of Izmir in their games.
While the games developed at Publish the Game Jam received the right to be published on the Steam platform, Digi Game Startup Studio provided a participation premium of 1000 TL and asset pack support to each participating team.
Publish The Game Jam is organized to improve the project completion habits of participants experienced in game development. Participants and investors came together at the end of the event and made presentations about the games they have developed. In this event, where there are no losers, the game developed by each team had a chance to be published in Steam.
Global Game Jam in Izmir
Digi Game Startup Studio hosted the Global Game Jam in Izmir for the first time on January 20, 2022. Digi Game Startup Studio has hosted nearly 100 participants at Izmir Fair for a full 48 hours, offering them a safe and fun environment. Participants had the opportunity to connect with the leading people in the gaming industry during the presentation and cocktail party that was held after the event
