What is Global Game Jam?
Global Game Jam is a nonprofit registered in the state of California and their mission is to empower all individuals worldwide to learn, experiment, and create together through the medium of games in a safe and welcoming environment.
Global Game Jam is known as the world’s largest game development event and is held on certain days of the year with tens of thousands of participants and hundreds of physical/online spaces. Global Game Jam welcomes many experienced and inexperienced people in many different fields such as coding, visual design, sound, and music. Participants try to develop a creative game within a certain period of time by forming small teams.
Global Game Jam in Izmir
Digi Game Startup Studio hosted the Global Game Jam in Izmir for the first time on January 20, 2022. Digi Game Startup Studio has hosted nearly 100 participants at Izmir Fair for a full 48 hours, offering them a safe and fun environment. Participants had the opportunity to connect with the leading people in the gaming industry during the presentation and cocktail party that was held after the event
